This film has a powerful cast.
Steve Martin is the protagonist, and he nails most of the skits. Emily Mortimer is completely unrecognisable, zat French accent iz wird. Beyoncé is just a cameo, even though she is prominent in all the ads.
Ironically, there are almost no French actors. Jean Reno tries hard to look like a foreigner playing a Frenchman.
Since I did not watch the Peter Sellers version (yet), I have no frame of reference. It seems like a middle of the road affair, instead of the criminal disgrace others have spoken about.
