Paranoia

Completely pathetic. Antitrust wears Prada.

This is a local polemic about intra NYC politics. Manhattan is the 9th circle of hell, where antichrists run megacorps that are evil, while on the other boroughs, grassroots working class folks build companies “from scratch” with hard, honest work. For the other 7 billion people in the world, the only reaction is “they all look the same to me”.

The plot is Wall Street, The Devil Wears Prada or any other rehash of that plot. It even includes such cliché lines as:

The Heart: Everything you said was a lie!

Protagonist: No, not everything.

This is dressed up with tech companies, the modern day robber barons. Generic ones even, there’s not even Google, Apple, Facebook or Amazon expys. Probably because New York is the city of old money, there is none of that noveau riche.

Plain old “integrity over money” and “megacorps will eat your soul” plot, while at the same time including obscene amounts of product placement for the very same luxury products they deride.
