Pool Newman.
Hustling for cash with a couple of kids, he gets humiliated by another hustler (Forest Whitaker) and breaks up with them.
This kicks him out of his lethargy and into a big tournament. Gets hosed by his own making when he gets hustled by Cruise, but he recovers.
