An “improved” Independence Day, with more “political” content as a plot clothesline. A two hours long diatribe against the military-industrial complex, brought to you by the DoD, Raytheon, and Boeing.
Technically, it’s a poor-CGI fest, with crap fight scenes in between. The classic American action movie, with that Emmerich Manifest Destiny only a foreigner can impart.
I admit I fell for the ruse of having James Woods being a good guy. Of course he’s the bad guy, but worse, he is a complete psycho, makes his wife of 20+ years go to federal “pound me in the ass” federal prison without so much as a smirk.
