Memento
This is a dark and depressing film that only gets more depressing with continued views. Sadface, not very nice to watch this on a low mood. This is evident from the very first frame.
It’s laughable that there’s a myth about this being hard to follow when the structure is very much conventional, overpowering the back and forth superstructure. In addition, there’s a perfectly cromulent explanation for the whydunnit in the end, ties up most loose ends with a neverending story.
The black and white parts are just a big exposition phone call with extra flashbacks, mostly as red herrings.
