The original Gone in 60 Seconds, but with plot. Baby Driver without rapists. Not even worthy of Saturday afternoon viewing.
It’s a generic American film set in Germany. It’s purely American, even though the leads are English, and the Chinese are bankrolling it.
The plot driver is a health problem that demands big money to solve, in a country with socialised medicine. Handwaved as they are immigrants, fair enough.
The happy end comes about when the main character cuts a deal with the detective assigned to his case, another purely American thing, that simply does not happen like that in non-British derived justice systems.
This is my place for ramblings about sequences of images that exploit the human visual limitation know as persistence of vision.
