Black Mirror: Bandersnatch
This is a baby’s first videogame for the masses, it’s only a breakthrough if you have never played anything. It’s closer to a walking simulator than an Black Isle or Obsidian RPG.
I watched about 10 endings (including dead ends). I don’t like the full meta (jumping off the window), that’s trite and too avant garde. It fits the Black Mirror theme, but I was fully expecting to go all in on BioShock homage. Would you kindly do a better version of this with Josh Sawyer or Chris Avellone?
The endings range from not finishing the game due to a mental breakdown, to doing a shitty game that the critics pan, to having a brilliant game at the cost of murdering and chopping up his loving father. Pretty bleak stuff.
This is my place for ramblings about sequences of images that exploit the human visual limitation know as persistence of vision.
