This has some intro where Mattie’s father says goodbye before being shot for nothing, Tom Cheney is just an idiot fool, and not a mysterious killer.
The ending is also much softer, because she survives and asks Rooster to be buried next to her. The Texas Ranger dies straight away, he is absolutely belittled throughout the film.
A Colt Dragoon is a preposterous weapon, fucking gigantic in Mattie’s hand. Like a Desert Eagle on steroids, a freaking worthless gun.
