Hostiles
Another bona fide Western, in the modern sense of end of an era, always a bunch of older grizzled veterans realising it was the bitter enemies they did along the way that gnaw away at your soul, even all that prime real estate is not worth it.
Agents of the state, acting on direct orders from the President, murder a landowner standing his ground, following the castle doctrine. If only this had been released during the current American Monarchy, it would have wrapped around to being the new policy, whatever the God Emperor Nyarlathotep says goes.
This is an incredible cast, even if some are glorified cameos. Beside Batman, the other soldiers include fucking Jonathan Majors, Chalamet, Jesse Plemons, and Ben Foster. The natives are Wes Studi of zillions of films, plus the guy from Windtalkers and the woman from The New World. Rosamund Pike has a bit less to do too.
