Pacific Rim: Uprising
Lots of exposition to make sure you remember the last one. No major retcons that I noticed.
Burns through most of the obvious ideas:
- Kaiju controlled Jaegers
- 3 Kaijus being fused together
- Obviously evil Chinese corporate CEO who turns out to be victim of alien-controlled American scientist (follow the money, there are Chinese producers galore)
Adds no more Super Sentai tropes that weren’t present on the first one.
