At first, I though Sharlto Copley was gonna be a glorified cameo, but it got weirdly gonzo sci-fi fast.
Gimmicky, but heartfelt. Very much Russian to the bone, be it the adamant manly statements about being not-gay, ultraviolence that crosses the line twice into the preposterous goofiness and scantily clad woman. Did I say Russian? I meant 90s FPS.
Dethrones most spectacle-based FPS as the premier first person experience by mining the whole FPS genre for its better set pieces. Not just the mainstream Call of Duty, but even more obscure stuff, like “S.T.A.L.K.E.R”.
