Ripley's Game
Half of Dangerous Liaisons, with a not so tragic ending. Not that it ends happily…
I did not notice this was part of the same universe as The Talented Mr Ripley, it is so different. This is a mix of humour and seriousness that is hard to mimic.
Malkovich basically plays himself, except he kills people. The supporting actors are so young (Lena Headley!), the contrast is even bigger and Ripley look even larger than life. There is also Ray Winstone doing his raging Glaswegian.
