Die Hard with a Vengeance
Starts with a incredible scene and manages to hold up pretty well through the whole film.
It’s of course an unintended period piece, with a very rosy view of race relations even at the time: Zeus would be shot by the cop right away, or anyone would fear for his life and kill him.
Hilarious that there’s a big plot point that could be solved immediately with Wikipedia, knowing who was the 21st president of the USA. Curiously, both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are mentioned by name, it’s a New York film after all.
I could say it suffers from serial escalation, since the previous films were somewhat believable, but this enters Fast and Furious territory. Comparing it to modern films it’s very tame.
