The Autopsy of Jane Doe

More like The Crucible in a morgue. Salem dudes tortured a innocent girl in the 17th century, so her body gets bounced around modern times, until someone takes a peek and gets brutally murdered by other corpses.

The body itself never moves, she is merely a necromancer. Does that mean if there were more bodies in the morgue they would get away scot free? Who knows.

I only saw this for Brian Cox, Emile Hirsch, and Ophelia Lovibond of W1A fame, but she gets a bit part with a passable American accent. I honestly though she was the body, but no, she’s the kid’s girlfriend that wants some commitment from him, so they get away to a nicer place. They all die anyway.

In terms of morgue-themed horror films, this is much better than dross like The Corpse of Anna Fritz.

This is my place for ramblings about sequences of images that exploit the human visual limitation know as persistence of vision.
