The Bay of Silence
One of those cheating thrillers, where there’s no way to guess what will happen based on foreshadowing. But it’s absolutely predictable anyway, because all unhappy families are unhappy in their own way.
Brian Cox is obviously evil from the start: he’s rich, called Milton (Paradise Lost), is played by Brian Cox, the only other big name in the cast. So much of the story would not happen of the characters just talked for 1 second.
Of course, raping a 14 years old, taking pictures, putting the blame on the assistant and selling said pictures for millions is a special kind of evil. The PTSD was so high, his abuser was her agent for decades!
Then she receives a message about it and freaks out, stays off her meds and kills her baby son. This is after said son miraculously survives, after the pregnant mother falls off a balcony in a freak accident.
What a shaggy dog story.
