The Last Voyage of the Demeter

Count Dracula ships himself from Transylvania with a farm girl as travel snack, but gets the munchies and feeds on the rest of the crew.

Our hero is actually Agent Scully, a extremely intelligent medical doctor from Cambridge who got rejected everywhere on account of being black. He left for Romania for a job interview for private physician to the king, but that guy also rebuked him because he was black. Goddamn Hohenzollern!

He’s stuck there, so he tries to crew the Demeter, but the first mate also hates him. He saves the captain’s grandson from a falling crate and other dude gets spooked from the crate markings, so at least that gets him a cot. Most of the rest of the crew also hate him and don’t really believe he is a real doctor.

After some nights at sea, the Gypsies that brought them the crates are proven right. They find the stowaway farm girl with bite marks and the crew starts dying in freak accidents by night, feeding the beast, until they see him in broad candlelight. Not even the little kid escapes the wicked fate of infection followed by being burned to ashes by sunlight.

Since all is lost anyway, they try to scuttle the ship and escape, but they fail even at that: the ship runs aground near the shore and the Constables “save it”.

Everyone else is dead, only our hero is left alive to give chase to the upper class aristo sucking people dry. Way to go, Karl Van Helsing.
