Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Mermaids, Blackbeard, and shit, but also some historical empires struggling for conquering an exotic landmark. The new couple falling in love is Morrigan from the bad King Arthur, and some priest of unknown denomination.
There are some minor set pieces that are good, but the whole thing can be basically written off.
If Penelope Cruz cannot make this pop, what can? Maybe this is too crass, but I can’t believe she could be my mother, no freaking way. I really should see some Almodovar films.
