I mean, “Seth”, really? And his friend is “Evan”? Come on, make this autobiographies a little less on the nose. I’m pretty sure Rogen was more like the dweeb friend. It’s an Apatow film written by Seth Rogen, so you know what you will get.
You get insufferable main characters, and some baby-face Emma Stone that surely had better shit to do than this crap.
The homoeroticism is leaned into, but it’s strictly for comedy purposes. NO HOMO!
The good part is that this is actually a teen film about teens, with teen-adjacent actors, not people in their 20s.

The credits “jokes” are all over the place. Alien, raising the flag at Iwo Jima, the works. There’s got to be one The Hangover-like joke in there, this time it’s Tank Man from Tiannanmen as penises. What a crazy thing to do.
