Repo Men
Like a fine wine, it gets better with age. The soundtrack is incredible. Not to be confused with Repo: The Genetic Opera, which is also great for different reasons.
A proper film noir, the vitriolic best buddie is really your mate, and he’s right about that soulless marriage, ditch that stuck up bitch and stay with the singer from the bar. Quotes liberally from many other works, like a recent Oldboy corridor splatfest, and the classic Pulp Fiction giant syringe to the heart. The plot is lifted from Minority Report. It’s really a greatest hits album.
Most secondary characters nail their roles: Liev Schreiber as the corporate drone is just perfect. The wife draws the short stick, just whines and whines until her own son tases her to shut her up.
