Mata Hari

From Cyborg’s producers, Sylvie “Emanuelle” Kristel is Mata Hari, an accidental “spy” who is being manipulated by both sides of WW1. It’s even more based on a great big lie, there’s a disclaimer that “no similarities with living or deceased persons are intended”.

The French captain is a bore in bed, but the German guy even does cunnilingus, she really likes him. From the German side there’s also some boring ass dudes who bang her, while the other French dudes go to orgies as much as possible. On the German side, the real mastermind is some Freud-loving she-wolf, the psycho-lesbian “Helga” stereotype.

Besides all the fucking, there’s also a bare-chested sword duel between Mata Hari and some cheap whore.

On the war side, the obligatory war crime is dressing our spy in the red cross banner, but that was probably pre-Geneva Conventions, so it might as well be legal.

That’s the core of the plot, the spy stuff is just a conduit between the sex scenes. This is no Emanuelle, all the sex scenes are then truncated to focus on the spy stuff. Way to miss the point.

In the end, they literally take her to a nunnery for her execution.

Portugal is mentioned several times, and there’s a “Mr. Norriega” (from Nicaragua‽) buying guns from the French, for being a neutral country. This is very confusing, Portugal was a French and British ally, we even sent troops to the meat-grinder, and that lead directly to a coup and fascism.

It seems the producers confused some parts of WW1 with WW2, and not in a fun way like Top Secret!.
