I don’t hate it, it’s just so straightforward. Maybe it’s bias showing, but the evil guy was telegraphed from a mile away.
The director got into the supernatural genre from his house-sitter, which is just another level of decadence that mere mortals can’t even hope to achieve.
The fast cuts on the beginning are also jarring, like seeing a film as a series of TikTok reels, or whatever the young people do these days.
