Oh god, did they just retcon a retcon? What’s all that business with Han, Jason Statham and John Cena? The lore is way too convoluted for me, I would rather read Ulysses.

The CGI is truly atrocious. Asylum-level stuff, even though Industrial Light and Magic is credited. That and The Volume, a scourge of modern film-making.

The globe trotting leads them to Tblisi, which is also the Kazakh Russian rocket launch site (but from The Agency instead?). The music remains atrocious, way too much reggaeton. The “stunts” are just a bunch of CGI bullcrap.

The reference materials are all Nolan films (rotating set from Inception, flipping the 18 wheeler from The Dark Knight), the Motorstorm videogame (with a Casspir), and random explosions.

Yes, the franchise has went to “space” (well under the Karman line), the mark of all shark jumping moments.

It’s still more realistic that the armoured articulated truck, driving on a dirt road, getting hit with four Hellfire missiles straight up, and still has momentum to wreck a drone mini-B2 bomber.

They keep trotting out Paul Walker’s unseen presence they only way they can, through throwaway lines and driving cars with tinted windows. At least there is no AI slop at least. For now.

It would be a moment similar to having EA bought by random Gulf monarchies, a match made in hell.
