This is not experimental like Reality, it’s a regular American biopic, with all the good and the bad that comes with it. This is actually funny, at least until the time of the leak. By then, there’s not much to laugh about.
So many silly details. Why does she keep a framed Anderson Cooper picture on her desk? And a Sailor Moon poster in her bed? The Pokémon stuff is pretty usual, actually. She watches Inside Out and Pitch Perfect 2, her nerddom doesn’t extend to films, I guess.
Donating to the SDF was noble, but unnecessary, they were already being financed by her tax dollars anyway. She was “lucky” she never listened to Al-Jolani, curious how those things turn out.
At work, she is being bombarded with Fox News and shit, but when driving around she of course listens to Jeremy Scahill, Glenn Greenwald, and reads The Intercept while working for the NSA. The balls of that woman, that’s simply insane.
I truly think The Intercept has really broken through to “the mainstream”, and it’s the main reason most of it’s founders have left. It was a victim of its own success. Like Reality, this doesn’t mention the fuck up of publishing the document with enough details to lead directly to her.
Here’s the actual story: Top-Secret NSA Report Details Russian Hacking Effort Days Before 2016 Election, her document is a big deal, but drowning in a sea of other information.
Again, she leaked a single page, a report about unsuccessful Russian meddling in elections. Does that deserve 4 years in jail? Her mother mentions Manafort and Maria Butina, that last case is truly insane. The NRA had a literal spy as its top secretary, and it’s still not disbanded! They sure lost a lot of power, but still.
This is my place for ramblings about sequences of images that exploit the human visual limitation know as persistence of vision.
