    This is not experimental like Reality, it’s a regular American biopic, with all the good and the bad that comes with it. This is actually funny, at least until the time of the leak. By then, there’s not much to laugh about.

  • Shock and Awe

    Yeah, I agree that the WMD media circus was a scandal, and I broadly agree with Rob Reiner here, but I’m not sure a half-comedy half-didactic exposé about it is the best way to do it, particularly releasing it during the Trump administration.

    Reality Winner is an American hero, and now there’s the modern equivalent of a bronze plaque on a bench in a public park: a prestige no-budget filmed play, consisting of the FBI transcripts, where she is played by the latest sex symbol trying to upgrade their career into serious films, not just schlock.

  • The Report

    A Senate-based Three Days of the Condor released post-Snowden, in the Trump years. Delusional insanity, trust the process? The slimeballs hint at but never fucking say the name Gina Haspel!

  • Snowden

    A pointless film since Citizenfour exists. Boils down to a study on Snowden’s sex life.
