The Punisher
Undercover cop extraordinaire and loving father gets his whole family killed by a mobster and goes postal, punishing them for their sins. Pretty subdued, considering its current appropriation by fascist cops.
I like the hints of comic book over-the-top-ness, to avoid a grimdark ragefest during basically all the film, post family murder. Castle is not “good”, merely a tolerable human for those he doesn’t see as sinners.
