Yet another bloated two and half hours snorefest, with a truly preposterous 30 min long silly fight scene in a parking lot. God, it’s so long and painful.
Gal Gadot was propelled from obscurity into worldwide stardom. You can trace a line from this dross into that cringe-worthy Imagine “cover” during the pandemic. It’s all here, the faux profundity, the naïveté.
This is an origin story, but it’s so bloated, there are both flashbacks and flashforwards during the final climatic battle with Ares. At least Kratos was human…
Smart of them to set this during World War I, a more muddied moral affair.
