All The Money in the World
A story where the ‘Ndrangheta are not the worse villains, at least its an ethos. Worshipping Mammon is the root of all evil.
I’m almost sure the fake Getty was not that angry, she kept her married name. I shudder at knowing more about her, she might even be alive, no matter how many liquid lunches she has. The booze preserves the body, and the moral rot stiffens the mind.
The old fart takes the cake as the face moral turpitude. Up there with his predecessor Rockefeller as the embodiment of the worst scum of the human race. His comeuppance arrives with having his name literally set in stone in a palace to art and beauty, the inverse of his life.
Which of these Getty people is responsible for The Evil Within? It’s probably another one.
Film-wise, this is part of the gritty realism style. Ridley Scott aping Michael Mann.
You can almost not notice the missing Kevin Spacey, they must have reshot the whole thing. I only noticed some bad deepfakes at the beginning. Marky Mark is just not convincing, he’s too dumb to be a low level spook (this is not The Departed). Ridley Scott should have pulled a Chappie and butchered his personality on the edit.
This is my place for ramblings about sequences of images that exploit the human visual limitation know as persistence of vision.
