This is another origin story, but different from Spider-Man 3. Who can keep track anyway.
What does “in association with Marvel” means? Was this done separately then Marvel bought it? Weird.
In this, Elon Musk-Sackler is an evil dude with his literal ideology, Earth is toast so I’m running away to space. Since its set in Frisco, they are feeding on homeless people to power that growth, seems eerily realistic. No political stuff though, this is squeaky fucking clean.
For an origin story, there isn’t much attention to Eddie Brock himself. Wasn’t he in New York? He has a girlfriend and they are about to marry? They broke up after he “hacked” into her computer but six months later they are already friends? Her new boyfriend is fine with spending so much time with her ex?
So many questions… None are answered, we need many many many action scenes with liquid venoms swirling around and killing people in a PG-13 way.
