The villain is so bad, he only talks in sayings. Technically there are two, Tia Dalma and a Natural Born Killer. Tia Dalma lynches the cop, like any American racial metaphor should. ACAB, Catholic priests, the whole shebang.
The Dan guy is playing the same character from Veep, without the hard hitting satire.
This is allegedly set in San Francisco, but it’s a transfer of money towards Britons. Obscure London rappers like Little Simz. The cop who is not Donnie Wahlberg, it’s the guy from Snatch. There’s even time for a Reece Shearsmith cameo.
