X-Men: Days of Future Past
Nothing speaks about the deep lore for a supposed reboot like introducing time travel to make sure the other convoluted trilogy is back in the cards. What is reality anymore, I simply do not care.
Elevates comicbookiness to the max. The time travel shit is given to Kitty, of all mutants, instead of being one of the new ones. The opening shots rips off Terminator, the intro credits no longer rip off Fight Club.
The rest is just generic 70s nostalgia for Nixon, bell bottoms, and Super 8 cameras. Stryker is now the underling, even though this was never mentioned before. So tiresome.
Even the Quicksilver scene is not that good. They should have so many of those. The reason why he is not used is simple, he is way overpowered. So while mutants are being wiped out, he is speed running Pong in his mum’s basement. Preposterous.
I would like to know how did Azazel die, since he almost single-handedly murdered an entire CIA base in the last film, amongst other incredible stuff.
