The Uprising

RoBourne Hood. Much better than the other Robin Hood, just as you think this is just monarchist nonsense, they go all in on the guillotine insurance ethos. The king should have been gutted like a fish, if this was written by Alan Moore.

The Bourne charge is really unfair, this doesn’t have many set pieces, just a load of exposition and a boatload of plot. Bursting at the seams with plot, the perils of choosing the wrong protagonist, should have been John Ball the foolish radical, or Wat Tyler, the betrayed reformist.

There were many other examples of such revolts throughout Europe at the time.

Future Sam “Artificial” Altman is the lead, some dude who lost his family during medieval COVID, that girl is from Last Night at Soho, and the boy from King Kong is now an heretic priest. On the system side, we have Tom Hollander as required in any English period piece, the woman from Inherent Vice, and an unrecognisable Johnny Lee Miller as the Mayor of London, ironically. Should have screamed “Choose Life” as his throat is slit like a traitor deserves.

According to actual historians, the barge encounter was more evil, I can understand why they changed it, to keep the king on the fence for longer. The ministers did not ride with him, he betrayed them already before. Tyler was supposedly an actual tyler, a mason, not a unemployed soldier. That’s even more impressive.
