This is a time capsule of that particular early 2000’s action films, mixing up Alien, Jaws, and Men in Black. Nearly everybody dies, but not LL Cool J, so he can rap over the credits.
Can you imagine Thomas Jane as the lead? It’s not better than Treat Williams in that boat film, at least you can smell the horniness of the love interest. But it’s denied, she needs to sacrifice in the end, just because they reference Alien directly with those underpants, doesn’t mean she is the final girl.
Having Samuel L Jackson straight out of Snakes on a Plane is silly, but nothing beats his whole pep talk being interrupted by a massive shark eating him whole.
