Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom
Captain Planet in the Aquaman suit. Amber Heard being sidelined. Even more Tolkienesque plot.
I literally fell asleep on the many many many many endless action scenes.
It’s just worse versions of Gods of Egypt. But Momoa is using his Arnie persona, like Fast X. Feels like a two hours long superhero trailer, like Wonder Woman. Ripped off the War of the Worlds antagonists plus The Incredibles flying rotating blade things (in a single wasted background scene).
There’s just too many details, visually this is absolutely messy. And it’s not even PG-13, there are too many shits. Is this solely for hyper-nerds? It needs the Batman & Robin treatment, mocking this shit relentlessly.
I just wanted to see Jani Zhao, but she has barely any lines, being a Star Trek bridge commander, barking orders. She even sneaks in a bunch of orders in Portuguese.
